Unhinged is a movement research exploring states of deviation from axis, loss of anchoring, and reorganization. An aerial rope, an object from the world of contemporary circus, serves as the central element of the work creating a vertical axis.
Through it, the relationship between the body and gravity, tension, centrifugal force, and points of grip is examined: the body hangs between pull and fall, deviates from the central line, is detached from it, and gathers back toward it.
The work observes the pathways that emerge when a point of support loses stability, the body’s response to changing distance from the center of gravity, and the ways it negotiates the forces acting upon it.
The piece takes place at the intersection of ground and aerial space, focusing on movement born from suspension, inertia, weight, and attraction
