PINK CHEWING GUM is a bold, site-specific solo that transforms the performer’s body into a playful, disruptive force within urban and architectural landscapes. Encased in a pink tube, the dancer becomes a chewing gum—blind, unilimbed, and reliant solely on touch—crawling, climbing, and intertwining with inorganic structures. The piece explores the tension between life and stone, organic and inorganic, as the body distorts and merges with its surroundings.
Based on the research project CAPTURES, created with architect and photographer Paola Evelina, the performance investigates how movement can interact with a location’s arc hitecture, history and spirit. By bringing dance into public spaces, PINK CHEWING GUM challenges visual habits, plays with the color pink’s associations, and invites audiences to perceive their environment anew.
