Tarana a piece conceptualised during the time of Mughal era in India is a pieces where the dancer shows her techniques and the speed with the variations of spins (pirouettes) and footwork. Here Pratibha sharma will show the choreography where a combination of spins and footwork will end with a jugalbandi which is a question answer session between the percussion and the ghungroos.

Pratibha Sharma, a Kathak exponent, is an accomplished Kathak dancer with over 22 years of experience. She is currently working at the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv. Deputed by the Ministry of External Affairs through ICCR, she teaches Indian culture in Israel. She is also a choreographer who has composed several productions based on Indian classical dance. One of her most acclaimed works is 'Trayambake', an amalgamation of three different Indian classical dance forms that presents the various manifestations of Devi.
