By altering the narrative structure of the famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, the piece “Hansel & Gretel Alteration” focuses on the concept of the liquid family and the related difficulties it causes in the relationships within it. The fairy tale environment where voices continue to rumble and flashbacks of past dialogues continue to appear, provides the setting for a story of clashes and estrangements where two siblings find themselves in the same situation – being abandoned and alone. Starting with lallations and continuing with songs, the voices of the musical composition support the dramaturgical line of the entire creation while the relationships between the two siblings alternate between play and conflict.
