“Invitación al Baile” is a reimagination of the ballet “Le Spectre de la Rose”. In this performative experiment, the original waltz composed by Carl Maria von Weber is transposed into a diversity of musical styles that illustrate our contemporary Western society. The timeless interrogation of how we humans relate to nature, to destiny, and of the ways in which we escape our given existence are some of the themes explored in this work. The energy of this piece is fueled by the multicultural background of the team, transforming it into a constant and irresistible invitation to dance.
