“Kristin” is a choreographic sketch consisting of a sequence of physical facilitators through which the dancer rotates. In constant change, the dancer moves through different situations by changing the position of her body and its relation to her environment.

The solo continues May Zarchy’s research in recent years which is devoted to the connection between memory and movement. As part of her encounter with dancer Amit Zaretsky, they explore how the emerging dance stems from dealing with invisible forces, which become visible to the audience and to themselves through the dance. For moments one can identify a context or word for what the character is going through, and then the moment passes and the discomfort continues.

The solo is built upon experiences that accumulate into a movement monologue named “Kristin”.
