Sì-kuì

Rina Schenfeld

Israel

Sì-kuì (“Four Seasons” in Taiwanese) is a personal, poetic solo created and performed by Rina Schenfeld: a journey through nature’s seasons and the soul, between blossoming and withering, joy and pain, longing and hope.

Set to original songs by Schenfeld, a Taiwanese song, and excerpts from “A Touch of Spice”, the work creates a space of memory, home, and family, where cultures and generations meet. As word and movement intertwine, the body speaks and the song moves. Scarves, peacock feathers, golden fingernails, and a raincoat with a doll’s head become extensions of body and memory — between play and ritual, matter and spirit.

Embracing our cracks, movement becomes song, and prayer becomes a chance for change, renewal, and grace. For the body is song, not muscle, and seasons live within us.
