Walk My Talk

Ilanit Tadmor

Israel - Premiere

Music: Nir Yaniv

Ilanit Tadmor returns to the piece “Walk My Walk”, which she first performed 25 years ago. This is a work that deals with dismantling and assembling, with movement and emotion, through a character that moves in a noisy world and tries to find a moment of silence, connection, and recovery.

“Returning to this work is for me like returning to my parents’ house after many years, except that instead of touching the familiar furniture, I return to the movements I created two decades ago. How does the story we tell ourselves about who we were shape who we are now? What do we remember from the beginning of our journey? What did we choose to tell and retell, and what did we choose to forget?”

The reconstruction of the performance was commissioned especially for the Jerusalem International Solo Dance Festival.
